| Don, I served on the Princeton from Spring of 62 to Fall of 64 in the OS Division (Weather & Photography). I was part of the weather division. Our Division was a composite of Sailors and Marines. I wish I could locate a Cruise Book for the period of time that I was aboard the Princeton. When were you aboard?
My wife and I live in Rancho Palos Verdes and from our home at the top of the Peninsula we can see Terminal Island where the Princeton was home ported in the 60s.
I've just joined this association and would love to make contact with my Sailor Buddies that I played chess with while aboard the Princeton. I've recently re-connected with one of the Marines that was in my weather division. He lives in Cerritos, CA.
I look forward to hearing from you. Bill |
| I served aboard the Princeton as a Marine in OS Division (Weather & Photography). I lost my cruise book years ago and have been trying to make contact with some of the Marines and Sailors that were in my division during my 2 years aboard the Princeton from about July of 1962 to June 1964. So, should you have a copy of the page that shows the OS Division, could you email it to me. I played a lot of chess with the sailors in our division. Thanks, Bill Raines staviraines@gmail.com |

 | I am also looking for pictures of my father. His name was Walter I. Hanson. He may have been a Captain on this ship. This would have been during WW II, but I am not sure of the specific dates. He was stationed in San Francisco, CA. |

 | My daddy, Ted Nobles, served in R DIVISION on the USS Princeton, and I found his photo in the SP's office from the 1951 Cruise Book on ancestry.com, along with the Divisional Photo (he is standing 2nd row his left (our right when viewing photo). I'm wondering if there are any individual pics of the shipmates in that cruise book...I have at least 4 different portrait photos of him...but I do not know how long he was in the Navy. Would love to find that out. Thanks. Patricia Nobles Sheppard |
